Well, after hearing from reliable sources that went to the "split car" meeting I can reach a few conclusions. First that some people are passionate about the idea, on both sides of the argument. I hear Scherschel was very compelling. Petre was, well Bob...
Second is that although the BLS personnel are outstanding they are hampered by an ineffective acts allowed.
Third and the part that applies toward this blogs name is that dispatch is a sore spot. Question, is it true that the Comm. chief was snoozing in the meeting? Remember be genital with him. I have heard that I-25 runs east and west now. Hmmm. Did anyone bring up the "muddiness" of dispatch? The spelling of streets? The drawl of everyday words like co-fax? Maybe it is just the people I hang out with, but is she the most unprofessional speaker you have ever heard? And let's not get started on hers or other abilities to actually accomplish the task at hand of dispatching ambulances. who the hell trained them? Oh yea Lisa wonder dispatcher in her own right Not!
Time to go to back to work now so behave and try not to let dispatch kill ya.

Medic Dispatchers
Let's face it with few exceptions our current crop of dispatchers leave much to be desired. I am sure they are phone answering, emd gods. But holly squirrel shit! they can't move ambulances to save their own life let alone someone who needs it. They can't think 5 minutes into the future, let alone say an hour. They seem to be largely, one dimensional thinkers.
I somewhat understand why the medics were pulled from dispatch, but on the other hand I think it is high time we move them back up there, with a caveat. They do nothing but dispatch. They do not answer phones, unless it is a medic on an ambulance. they don't talk to the public.
They would dispatch. PERIOD. Most of the current folks up there would do the phones, which they excel at. There are no more than a few who should be allowed to use the radio. The Medics would do the board, which they excel at. Perfection. Simple solution.

Welcome
Welcome visitors. Hope you had little trouble finding us. If you did have trouble finding this little spot on the World wide Web, you must have been dispatched by someone. Or if it took you a while to get here you may have had to have someone spell out the street to you, again.
